Cemetery transcription by members of the Jacksonville Area Genealogical and Historical Society

"Reference to this cemetery is found on page 200 of Deed Record Book RR, located in the Morgan County Clerk's office. Dated Sept. 16, 1859, the entry shows that a previous deed had already set aside about three quarters of an acre for a church house and burying ground. The church was known as "Head of Apple Creek Church". Legal description was in the northwest quarter of Section 35 in Township 13 North Range 8 West. Conlee Cemetery is in the southeastern corner of Morgan County, approximately three miles south of Waverly and one-half mile north of Rohrer. Sporting an unused flagpole, the densely overgrown but fenced cemetery is west of Road 3437E, with a field separating them. There is no access road or lane to the cemetery.

Conlee Cemetery was visited on October 15, 1979 by Mrs. Leo (Wanda) Knepler, Mrs. Harold (Mae) Cooney and Robert W. Dalton and they verified most of the following tombstone readings. Additional known burials were taken from the records of Jacksonville Area Genealogical and Historical Society and a listing of Conlee Cemetery tombstone readings made by Mr. and Mrs. Guy (Myra) Martin and Reuben Bates Jr., when they visited the cemetery on March 6, 1974."
