A tall gray tombstone is the most prominent feature of this neglected cemetery situated on a knoll in a thin timber near the southeast extremity of Lake Jacksonville. Legal description of the cemetery is in the southeast quarter of Section 13 in Township 14 N Range 10 W. Oak Ridge South School was formerly a short distance south of the site. The cemetery is unfenced. Nearly all of the tombstones listed here are broken. About half of the tombstones were completely covered but were unearthed during a "probe and dig" search by Mrs. Dimmitt (Grace) Trotter, Don Cully and his young son, Stuart, and Robert W. Dalton. This Craig Cemetery reading corrects some errors that are listed on page 11 of "A Guide To Cemeteries Of Morgan County, Illinois, Volume One". This Craig Cemetery should not be confused with the Craig Cemetery southeast of Lynnville
