Cemetery transcription by members of the Jacksonville Area Genealogical and Historical Society

This badly overgrown cemetery is situated about a mile north of Lake Jacksonville at an intersection of two country roads. In winter it is clearly visible from the roadway but an August search for this site found it so overgrown with brush and weeds as to be passed by if one didn't know it was there. Several evergreen trees draw attention to this cemetery. It is in the northwest quarter of Section 2 Township 14 N Range 10 W. This cemetery is also known as Baptist Church Cemetery.
