About midway between Murrayville and Rees Station is Sooy Cemetery. Not visible from the road, this cemetery is in the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 11 in Township 13 N Range 10 W.
Although three acres are deeded as cemetery land only a small portion is used for this purpose. Sooy Cemetery is well fenced and maintained. Situated on high ground, the cemetery overlooks a deep embankment and creek on the east side.
