Florence Hutchison made this transaction after discovering an old dilapidated book in the attic of the courthouse which turned out to be the first index to Book B of deeds. The original index gave the man's name followed by "& wife". Florence then sat in the deed room copying the number, page and wife's name to add to this transcription.

Any historian desiring a copy of any deed(s) from this record should write to the Morgan County Clerk, giving the information such as "Deed Record, Book B, page(s) __, ___, Date and name of Grantor(s).
