and entered into this 12th day of December 1837. By and Between Bennet
Gray, Rachel his wife, and David Boyd of the County of Morgan and State
of Illinois of the first part and William Pitman of the County and
State
aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth: That the party of the first
part
for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred dollars, to them in
hand paid, hath this day bargained, sold and conveys, and do by these
presents
grant bargain & sell and convey, unto the part of the second part,
the following described lot of Land known by being lot No. 10, in Block
No. 7, in Carters Addition in Winchester and bounded as follows:
Commencing
at the State Road and Running 180 feet North, thence West 60 ft, Thence
South 180 ft., Thence East to the place of Beginning. With the
privileges
and appurtenances thereunto belonging To Have And To Hold, this same

party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Nine
hundred and fifty Dollars, in hand paid, by the said party of the second

results from all laws of this State pertaining to the exemption of
homesteads.
And the said Mary Ann RITCHEY party of the first part, hereby expressly
waive, release and relinquish unto the said party of the second part, his
heirs, executors, administrators, do covenant, grant, bargain and agree,
to and with the dais party of the second part his heirs and assigns, that
at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these presents, she is well
seized of the premises above conveyed, as of a good, sure, perfect,
absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in law, and in fee
simple, and has good right, full power and lawful authority to grant,
bargain, sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid, and that
the same are free and clear from all former and other grants, bargains,
sales, liens, taxes, assessments and encumbrances, of what kind or nature
soever, and the above bargained premises, in the quiet and peaceable
possession of the said party the second part his heirs and assigns,
against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the
whole or any part thereof, the said party of the first part shall and
will Warrant and Forever Defend.

which the undersigned was Petitioner & William RAGAN was defendant, and
which Decree is referred to as appertaining to these presents, the Said
undersigned bargains, Sells, conveys and confirms to quit- claimed to the
Said William RAGAN to have and to hold to him his heirs and afsigns
forever all the right, title and interest of Spencer RAGAN deceased on
the 18th of July 1850, or at the time of his death, or of his heirs at
law Since in an to the North half of lot No. three (3) in Section Sixteen
(16) in Township fifteen (15) North Range then (10) West in Said County,

County of Morgan A.D. 1835 Sitting as a Court of Chansory??. Mary Ann
TAYLOR of said County and State of Illinois Presented before said Court a
petition praying Authority to sell and Convey the following described Lot
on parcel of Land lying in said County and State and bounded as follows
(Viz) beginning ninety feet north from the south west Corner of that Lot
on state Street owned by John CHALRDEN? April 24th 1832 and running North
ninety feet to Court Street thence west on Court Street Sixty feet thence
South ninety feet thence East sixty feet to point of beginning being the
North half of that Lot now owned by William ENOS of said County which
said Lot or parcel of Land said Mary Ann held in trust for one Spencer
TAYLOR. Know ye by virtue of the power and Authority given me by said

Know all men by these presents that I Hannah Taylor of the county of
Morgan and the state of Illinois, in consideration of the love and
affection which I bear to my Grandson Spencer TAYLOR now living in said
county and state, as well as for the sum of one Dollar to me paid, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge have granted, bargained, sold, and
conveyed, and by these presents, do grant, bargain, sell, convey and
confirm unto Mary Ann TAYLOR of said county and state the following
described land, lying in Jacksonville in said County and state in Trust
for the use, benefit and advantage of said Spencer TAYLOR.
Beginning ninety feet from state street on the west line of that lot
owned by John Challens April 24, 1832. Thence running North on said line
ninety feet to court street thence west on Court street sixty feet Thence
South nintey feet. Thence East to the place of beginning. It being the
north half of that Lot of Land deeded to said Hannah by William H. Askins
and wife April 26, 1832 and Recorded September 4th 1832 in Book E page
215-16 in Morgan County aforesaid. Together with all appurtenances to
the same belonging To have and to hold the above described premises unto
the said Mary Ann TAYLOR as Trustee for said Spencer TAYLOR, for his use
and benefit, and for no other purpose. And the rents and profits of the
same are to be for his, the said Spencer TAYLOR benefit and advantage,
and no other person is to have any control over the same in any manor
whatever. And the said Hannah, the aforesaid premises unto the said Mary
Ann for the uses and purposes above named against the claim or claims of
all and every person will warrant and defend forever by these presents.

in the County of Morgan and State of Illinois, viz, One undivided half or
more by the North East quarter of the North East quarter of Section,
number Twenty nine, in Township number Sixteen North of Ranger Ten West.
To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with the
privileges and appurtenances thereof to him the said Littleberry REGAN
his heirs and afsigns forever to his and their use and behalf forever.

I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said REGAN aforesaid
