Obituary: SINCLAIR. Robert HAGGERTY, son of Mr. George HAGGERTY, was buried at Antioch yesterday at 3 o’clock p.m. Uncle Harrison OSBORNE conducted the funeral services. A large number of friends and relatives followed the remains to its resting place. This is the second son Mr. H. has lost in the last six months.)

Obituary: Death of William HAGERTY.
The young man whose name heads this article, is well known in our city - the son of George HAGERTY, Esq. News was brought to Jacksonville yesterday of his sudden death at 6:30 in the morning. He had only been sick some two weeks, but a severe attack of bilious fever assumed a typhoid form and then erysipelas set in, the combination of diseases proving fatal.
The funeral occurs today at Antioch church at 11 a.m. Services by Elder M. M. GOODE. William C. HAGERTY was a young man about 19 years of age.

Obituary: Mrs. Elizabeth HAISLEY, who formerly resided in Waverly, died at her home in Franklin, of old age, Friday July 25, 1913, at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 6 days.
Elizabeth H. GUNELS was born March 19, 1826 in the state of Kentucky; her parents being of the hardy pioneers of that state. She grew to young womanhood in her native state, sharing the hardships and privations of that early period. At the age of 19 years she was married to William H. SCRIBNER in Kentucky on Jan. 16, 1846. The young couple shortly thereafter moved to Waverly, Ill.
There were born to them four children: Jennie, Tennessee H., Malveny, and Wesley L.
In the latter part of June, 1855 a family passing through Waverly by wagon stopped at their home and sought assistance, a child of the family having died. They were received without hesitation into the home, and it immediately developed that the child had died of cholera. Within a few days Mr. and Mrs. SCRIBNER and all of the children except the four months old infant Wesley were stricken with the dreadful disease, and on July 4, 5, and 6, Mr. SCRIBNER and the daughters Tennessee and Malveny died. The widow barely escaped death, and was left with Wesley and the daughter Jennie, then seven years of age. Those two children she raised to manhood and womanhood and educated by her individual efforts and with great sacrifice and hardship. Then she sustained further great sorrow of the loss of her son Wesley who died at the age of 19 years.
On April 8, 1873, Mrs. SCRIBNER was married at Waverly to John HAISLEY, where they continued to reside until 1889 when they removed to Franklin. Mr. HAISLEY died July 1, 1901
Mrs. HAISLEY’S daughter Jennie married Miles J. ABBOTT at Waverly in 1871, and she died in 1898. Her children Mrs. A. D. LANE of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. E. L. STANFIELD of Norfolk, Neb., and Charles E. ABBOTT of Fremont, Neb., are the surviving relatives.
At the early age of 17 years Mrs. HAISLEY was converted and for 70 years led an earnest Christian life. At the time of her death she was a member of the Congregational church of Waverly.
Brief services were held at the residence in Franklin at 1 o’clock Tuesday, July 29, Rev. Peter KITTEL of the Franklin M. E. church officiating. Music was furnished by the choir of the M. E. church, which sang several of Mrs. HAISLEY’S favorite hymns. The body was then brought to Waverly and funeral services conducted in the Congregational church by the pastor, Rev. L. A. HOLP. Music was furnished by the Congregational choir. The pall bearers were F. H. WEMPLE, J. C. DEATHERAGE and I. H. COE of Waverly, Thomas MILLER, Lee CALDWELL and J. B. BURCH of Franklin.
Interment was in East cemetery.
A large number of friends were in attendance at the funeral, many being present from both Franklin and Waverly.

“For a week past the many friends of Rev. J.C. HAMILTON have been apprised of the fact that he was fast failing and they were consequently not greatly surprised when the news was circulated in the city yesterday that he had breathed his last. Mr. HAMILTON was among the early settlers of Illinois, having come to the State in 1834. He was born June 16th, 1797, at Cynthiana, Harrison county, Kentucky, and was consequently in his 83rd year. Mr. HAMILTON was a man of stirring enterprise, an outspoken, fearless denouncer of wrong, and a minister much esteemed by all who ever sat under his ministry. He leaves a large family to mourn his loss, and many of our citizens will feel the loss of one who was a good citizen and an upright man. The funeral will take place at Brooklyn M.E. church tomorrow, Friday, at 10 o’clock a.m. Rev. Peter AKERS will officiate, assisted by Dr. HARSHA.”

Obituary: Mrs. HASTINGS Dies At Hospital After Fracture of Hip Ninety Year Old Resident Spent Entire Life in Morgan County Mrs. Lambert HASTINGS, 90 years old, a lifetime resident of Morgan County, died Friday morning at Passavent Hospital where she had been under treatment since she fractured a hip several days ago. Mrs. HASTINGS fell on the stairway at her home at 305 East Morgan St. sustaining an injury from which she failed to rally because of her frail condition and age. She was born Dec. 13, 1853, six miles south of Jacksonville, the daughter of Robert and Catherine MCALISTER. Her father was an extensive farmer and at one time owned more than 200 horses. As a young girl, Mrs. HASTINGS developed a love for horses, which she retained throughout her long life. She received her early education at the old Maple Grove school, which was located near her home. After she finished work at the rural school, she received further education at the Athenaeum. Her first husband was George SELF. Their three sons preceded their mother in death and there is one daughter, Mrs. Horace WYATT, residing in Denver, Co. Mr. SELF died in 1866. In 1898 she was united in marriage to Lambert HASTINGS, a farmer and stock raiser, who also preceded her in death. In addition to her daughter she is survived by grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Williamson Funeral home with burial in the family plot in Diamond Grove cemetery in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Obituary: Death of Former Resident Friends in the city have received word of the death of Mrs. Ann Eliza DAVIS HAWMAN. Mrs. HAWMAN died at her home in Jacksonville, Ill., Tuesday morning, January 8. Mrs. HAWMAN was born Feb. 12, 1840, and was a daughter of William and Margaret TAYLOR. She was united in marriage with John T. DAVIS when a young woman and ten children were born to this union. Three sons and one daughter survive. They are Samuel J. DAVIS, Kansas City, Alvin F. and L. O. DAVIS and Mrs. H. C. STEWART of Jacksonville. There is one brother, Alvin TAYLOR of Decatur. Her second husband, Mr. HAWMAN preceded her in death in 1898. Mrs. HAWMAN was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. HAWMAN with her sons, Alvin F. and L. O. DAVIS resided on North Elm Street in this city a number of years, having moved to Jacksonville three years ago.

The deceased was about 30 years of age and was the oldest son in the family. He was a brother in law of E. D. ROTHWELL of this city. Mr. ROTHWELL went down to the funeral which is to occur today.)

Obituary: The remains of Mrs. Elizabeth HILTON were brought to this city Wednesday for burial in the Turner cemetery, south of here. Mrs. HILTON died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Julia PERKS, in Chicago, Monday, October 18, where she had made her home for several years, and had reached the unusual age of 92 years. She was a sister of Mrs. Almira MCMAHAN, of this city, her maiden name being TURNER, and many year ago resided southeast of this city, and was familiarly known to many of our readers.

Obituary: THE DEATH RECORD. HEITZENRIDER. Mrs. Daisy HEITZENRIDER died at 11 o’clock Tuesday night at Our Saviour’s hospital from typhoid fever. The deceased was 23 years of age and is survived by her husband and two children. Mrs. HEITZENRIDER was a woman greatly admired by all who knew her and her untimely death has brought sorrow to many.
The funeral is to take place at Grace Chapel at 11 o’clock this morning and burial will be in SMITH Cemetery near Arcadia.)

Obituary: Long Point. On Monday last Mrs. Lincoln HOBBS died very suddenly at 11 a.m. The funeral took place the following day at the Davis cemetery in the Durbin neighborhood. She leaves two small children to mourn her loss.)
