Myers Family
Morgan County IL
Contributed by Barb Brown.
James Jasper Myers around 1861.
Probably 17 yrs. old. We have conflicting stories about his
enlistment.
Some say he was in the Union Army and marched with Sherman to the
Sea
and
also fought in the Battle of Vicksburg. Others believe he was in
the
Confederate
Army and fought at the Battle of Pea Ridge in Arkansas.
We are
determined
to find the correct information.
